What we're seeing
At Special Ed, the student:teacher ratio has risen 151% over the 5-year window — from 3.5:1 in 2020 to 8.8:1 in 2024. The gap vs US average of 15.4:1 has narrowed — from 11.9:1 below in 2020 to 6.6:1 below in 2024.
