At COMMUNITY SCHOOL #53, chronic absenteeism has risen 68% over the 5-year window — from 49.2% in 2015 to 82.5% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 21.2% above in 2015 to 54.5% above in 2020.
